YANG RunXiang, Doctoral Supervisor, Chief Physician. Visiting Scholar of MD Anderson Cancer Center. Director of the second Department of Internal Medicine of Yunnan Cancer Hospital (The 3rd Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University). She was awarded as Young Academic /Technical Leader and Medical Leading Talent of Yunnan, and she is the head of Innovative Research Team and Li Menghong Expert Workstation in Yunnan Province.
At present, she is mainly engaged in the clinical and basic research of lung cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, colorectal cancer and other malignants. She has studied in Cancer Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and MD Anderson Cancer Center, accumulating rich clinical experience and the ability to deal with difficult and critical patients. As the project leader of global and national multi-center clinical trials in Yunnan Province, she has carried out more than 50 clinical trials of anticancer drugs. In addition, she has held more than 30 domestic and provincial academic posts including chairman of the small cell Lung Cancer Professional Committee of Yunnan Lung Cancer Prevention and Treatment Association. In terms of academic research, she has presided over 4 programs funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (including 1 surface project) and more than 10 provincial projects. As the first or corresponding author, she has published 7 SCI papers in leading journals such as Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy (IF 38.1, original research article) and more than 20 papers in Chinese core journals, and she has also written 4 monographs published by the People's Medical Publishing House as chief editor or chief translator. Dr. Yang’s outstanding achievements promoted her to win the second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Yunnan Province. Until now, she has directly supervised more than 40 medical doctoral and master students in oncology.
