CHEN Ceshi, Researcher, Doctoral Supervisor. Director of Academy of Biomedical Engineering, Kunming Medical University. Visiting researcher of Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The Distinguished Young Scholars of the Natural Science Foundation of China, chief scientist of the Key Research and Development Program project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Professional and Technical Talent with Outstanding Contributions.
Upon completion of his doctorate in Shanghai Research Center of Biotechnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1999, he accepted postdoctoral training at the University of Virginia. In 2002, he moved to Emory University at Atlanta. He joined the faculty of the Center for Cell Biology and Cancer Research at Albany Medical College in 2006 where he is a tenure track Assistant Professor. In 2010, he was appointed as full professor at Kunming Institute of Zoology (KIZ), Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2022, he was appointed as the director of Academy of Biomedical Engineering, Kunming Medical University.
He is interested in study breast cancer targeted therapy and has published more than 130 papers/reviews in prestigious journals such as Advanced Science, Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy, Journal of Clinical Investigation, Nature Communications, Cancer Research, Cell Death & Differentiation, Oncogene, etc.. These papers were cited more than 7000 times and his H-index is 47. He has been reviewers for prestigious funding agents such as DoD, Komen for the Cure, and Natural National Science Foundation of China and more than 20 prestigious journals. He servers as the editorial board member of International Journal of Biological Sciences, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Cancer Letters, Cancer Science, Cancer Biological Medicine, Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica, and Zoological Research. Dr. Chen servers as senior members of Chinese Anticancer Association and Chinese Cell Biology Association.
