WANG Jiansong has made many technological innovations in bladder cancer, becoming one of the representative bladder cancer experts in China, who ranked the first on the list of China's Top 100 Famous Physicians for Bladder Cancer Clinical Treatment in 2019. In addition, he has published more than 400 papers, including more than 30 SCI-indexed papers, presided over 6 projects of National Natural Science Foundations of China and a number of projects of Yunnan Province, and obtained 2 national invention patents and 10 utility model patents. He has received 2 first-class awards, 1 second-class award, and 9 third-class awards of Scientific and Technological Progress of Yunnan Province. He has supervised 26 doctoral students and 63 postgraduate students, contributing to the development and progress of urology in Yunnan Province and China.
